The Associate Digital Project Manager will contribute to REI’s success by driving the completion of digital projects for REI’s customers, our business, and our brand. This role requires a background in delivering digital projects and the ability to manage the creation and development of a variety of digital assets (web site, mobile apps, etc.). The Associate DPM will lead projects by clarifying scope, incorporating input from UX, Design, Copy and technical resources, and leveraging an understanding of our digital process to guide teams through their work. 

Additionally, the Associate DPM will provide project coordination and support for the Digital Project Managers and Senior Digital Project Manager ranging from developing and managing meeting schedules, providing meeting support, facilitating project communication and coordination and troubleshooting problems.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively problem-solve, mitigate business risk and assure deliverables meet project timelines.

• Utilize project management best practices to manage multiple, simultaneous, small to medium scale initiatives within Digital Retail. 
• Ensure that project management and tracking tools reflect the day-to-day reality of the Production team and projects’ status.
• Advocate for the process and consult in ongoing business process improvement efforts.
• Maintain team standards, tools, and best practices.
• Lead stand-up meetings to go over projects/tasks assigned to the team, determine if there are any roadblocks, and subsequently remove those impediments.
• Ensure clear objectives, requirements and KPIs are delivered by project requestors and understood by the project team.
• Ensure the on-time delivery of high quality, relevant, customer experiences that meet stated business objectives within approved scope and budget parameters.
• Ensure that resources are planned appropriately to support the approved scope of a project. 
• Support value-based decision-making. Understand the value and cost of the work we do, and use this to drive decisions.
• Manage partner relationships and set expectations throughout the project; ensuring high levels of team satisfaction.
• Develop a broad set of relationships and collaborate across technical, UX, creative, merchandising, and marketing teams to drive the vision for the associated programs.

  • 2+ years of experience across some combination of the following:
  • Project management
  • Web Operations
  • Web Content Management
  • Web Producer
  • Online user experience
  • Online merchandising
  • Online and/or direct marketing analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Communications/Information Science, Business/Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce and retail processes with a proven track record of using technology to develop creative solutions for complex business objectives
  • Familiarity with Content Management systems and automated workflows
  • Experience working within a work management tool for schedule building, housing project requirements, communications, and time tracking
  • Experience working with structured project management methodologies. Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, etc.
  • Understanding of web technologies including Mobile Web and native iOS and/or Android apps
  • Strong knowledge of related disciplines such as user experience, interaction design and brand communications
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to promote open communication and teamwork
  • Proven ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, utilizing strong and effective communication skills while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, identify, and execute innovative solutions for digital production challenges        
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments and holds others to same

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
