We are looking for an IT Manager Digital & Marketing Systems to contributes to REI’s success by managing Digital and Marketing Engineering Teams who support Co-op wide strategy through software development and delivery. Assists business partners and IT leadership in analyzing technology needs and building software/application project plans to meet aligned business goals. Contributes to Portfolio Management which includes capital and expense management and overall project management of aligned business priorities for either the Digital or Marketing Divisions.  Collaborates with enterprise and domain architects to ensure integration of organizational system roadmaps are consistently part of overall plan. Provides direction to project teams, establishes work priorities, and evaluates proposed solutions to ensure that technology contributes to achievement of business objectives. Contributes to and enforces departmental strategies, policies and standards. Ensures that team commitments are tracked, managed, and meet or exceed expectations. Establishes and enforces best practices and policies for high quality software delivery. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

Bring your passion and expertise

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and experience 

·        5+ years supervisory experience in the information technology field and the ability to direct technical work teams

·        5+ years experience in information technology, including leading teams in business partner planning, systems analysis, software or infrastructure engineering

·        5+ years experience in software development

·        5+ years experience planning, organizing and directing systems development projects

·        Experience developing team-level plans and contributing to annual budgets

·        Experience managing multiple project teams
Lead engineering teams in performance and career development

·        Skills in resource management, project prioritization, problem solving, issue management and negotiation, and mediation

·        Ability to manage customer and vendor relationships

·        Ability to work collaboratively and across divisions

·        Create and manage technical roadmaps for current area taking into account the holistic view of IT roadmaps

·        Creates a strong, mutually supportive work spirit and culture where people can do their best

·        Champions the organization and advocates solutions in the overall Company's best interest

·        Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities

·        Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions 

·        Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve department, company and customer results

·        Builds relationship with business partners to ensure business priorities and technology solutions map to organizational strategy

·        Contributes to division strategic planning, applying a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems which significantly impact the effective execution of business processes

·        Oversees and coordinates the work of project managers, architects, business analysts and software engineers. Ensures software and application development adheres to enterprise architectural standards and other application development standards

·        Keeps abreast of technology changes and innovations in the information technology field and specifically in the software development or infrastructure engineering field

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
