We are looking for an experienced Manager IT Infrastructure to lead our team of Windows Server and Virtualization Engineers accountable for all activities related to REI’s Enterprise Windows Server, Virtualization, Active Directory (AD), and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) technologies, including but not limited to: solutions design, lifecycle and capacity management, administration, maintenance, vendor management and tier III support.

 
The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, result driven IT professional with proven experience developing and leading high performing IT Infrastructure teams. 

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Motivates team to deliver projects and services on time, on budget and exceptional customer service 
  • Provides leadership and oversight ensuring systems are highly available and performing at optimal levels
  • Ensures team follows IT processes including Change & Release management 
  • Executes the strategic direction and goals of the Company, IT Division and Team 
  • Ensures the timely and effective resolution of service disruptions
  • Serves as an escalation point for technical issues and conflict resolution
  • Ensures team members are highly knowledgeable and properly trained in the technologies and services they support
  • Ensures team maintains up-to-date security and compliance training   
  • Provides team priorities and direction for various projects and daily activities
  • Reviews and evaluates the team's work and prepares performance evaluations
  • Maintains a focus on appropriate team member development, recognition and work-life balance
  • Develops healthy relationships with Peers, Divisional IT Leadership, and the IT Community at large
  • Ensure vendors and managed services providers are providing optimal value to REI

Systems Responsibilities:

  • Oversees server performance and capacity by monitoring, alerting and reporting
  • Ensures technologies are designed and built with appropriate high availability and disaster recovery
  • Participates in Design Reviews to ensure standard and supportable architectures are being developed
  • Ensures systems design, build and maintenance follow all security and compliance standards
  • Reviews team technical documentation and diagrams, ensuring they are complete and up-to-date
  • Drives automation of processes for day-to-day operations
  • Continually looks for opportunities to shift repetitive work right to tier II groups
  • Ensures staff participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotations
  • Leads Hardware/Software/Cloud Services evaluations of next generation technologies
  • Creates, maintains and/or contributes to the definition and documentation of any IT standard or service catalog item under teams purview 
  • Develop team, technology and process roadmaps
  • Leads efforts to improve processes and meet strategic goals, both within the team and across IT groups
  • Participates in Incident Response Leadership on-call rotations

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership position
  • 5+ years of experience as a multi-platform IT systems administrator or engineer, with increasing responsibilities
  • Experience with ITIL and Lean methodologies
  • Expert analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft OS, AD, and SCCM technologies
  • Working experience with scripting and/or automation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and establish positive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in hiring, directing and reviewing team member work
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in team development with a proven record of creating high performing teams
  • Ability to effectively manage  multiple tasks, set priorities, and manage to critical deadlines
  • Ability to provide creative and innovative solutions for complex business problems
  • Ability to present technical information effectively to all levels of staff and leadership
  • Excellent collaboration, relationship and team building skills
  • Experience developing and reporting out against performance metrics
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
