The Senior Finance Systems Analyst contributes to REI’s success by providing process innovation that provides new business capabilities, creates process efficiencies and enhances the reporting portfolio in alignment with Finance’s current business plan and REI’s strategic imperatives. The Senior Analyst would have a deep understanding of relevant SAP modules as well as an understanding of how they effectively integrate with other business applications, effectively evaluate solution options with a mature understanding of data integrity and leverage this in the reporting space. This role will serve as a key facilitator between the IT and Finance organizations to gather business requirements, compile project documentation, facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and conduct training for Finance systems initiatives. This person must collaborate with other business units in support of company-wide system initiatives.

Bring your passion and expertise

Partner with internal Finance business teams to identify process/technical opportunities, define business/functional requirements, and design solutions focused on accounting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax and purchasing

Collaborate with IT to ensure that maintenance, support and enhancement of key Financial Systems, such as SAP, Ariba, ESSBASE, Infinium, Business Warehouse and Taxware, aligns appropriately with Finance’s documented enhancement and maintenance priorities. Ensures appropriate prioritization and resourcing of finance systems initiatives

A change agent in transforming to best practice processes, working closely with IT and Finance teams to create, improve and mature processes and methodologies

Represents Finance cross-divisionally in support of Finance’s priorities, ensuring proper ownership and accountability of end to end processes

Builds competencies utilizing available IT tools such as Winshuttle, SharePoint, Tableau, and the Business Objects BI platform to achieve operational efficiencies, improving data accuracy

Create and train an SAP super-user community within the Finance organization

Analyze cross-system user security roles to ensure SOD compliance

Utilize the SAP Query tool to build ad-hoc reports for Finance business teams

Analyzes system and data issues, including data reconciliation, to identify root cause and required corrective action

Partner with key IT and Finance stakeholders to ensure an optimal reporting and analytics landscape

Collaborate with the IT Center of Expertise to ensure financial systems are reliable, responsive, and optimized resulting in Finance process efficiencies and cost savings

Supports and promotes IT incident, problem, and change management methodologies

5+ years Finance Systems experience

5+ years of SAP / ECC 6.0 application experience, with focus on FI/CO (New GL, AP, AR, FA, COPA) and knowledge of MM (POs and conditions), IM, POSDM, BW (Business Objects BI platform), PS, ECCS and SD with good understanding of system integration

2+ years IT project management, Business Analyst or Functional Analyst experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or IT/IS

Ability to use MS Excel and MS Access to combine data from multiple sources to build ad-hoc reports

Ability to document and improve business processes using MS Visio and other tools

Demonstrated ability to understand and explain functional and technical requirements to IT and business stakeholders; experience developing functional requirements

Experience leveraging traditional and Agile project management tools

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
