This Senior Treasury Analyst contributes to REI’s success by playing a lead role in managing and executing Finance department and cross-divisional projects, providing technical and financial subject matter expertise on new or existing Treasury products and services including those related to bankcard and payment acceptance, and by assisting the Sr. Manager, Treasury and Treasury Manager on various issues in support of REI’s goals. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission. 

  • Assist in the development of payment acceptance strategies & roadmaps for cross-divisional business partners, 
  • Develop, support and advocate for creation of business cases for payment-related opportunities
  • Develop and utilize analytical tools to assist in robust expense analysis related to merchant processing fees and other payment acceptance costs
  • Advise on & assist with implementation of strategies, policies & procedures to control & reduce payment acceptance costs
  • Provide guidance to business and technical teams to ensure compliance with payment brand & merchant processor rules & regulations
  • Assist cross-divisional teams with implementation of payment processes, including liaison with merchant processor
  • Assist cross-divisional teams to resolve payment acceptance processing issues
  • Develop and maintain strong networking relationships within the merchant, payments and Treasury communities
  • Manage projects related to Treasury operations, including new cash management products & services
  • Support management of REI’s investment portfolio with research and analysis of investment products and services, and development & monitoring of investment reports
  • Support compliance for REI’s credit facilities
  • Act as internal consultant for the Coop for Treasury products & services
  • Support daily cash management operations as backup for Treasury Analyst II

  • 5+ years of related experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or similar
  • Certified Treasury Professional CTP (Preferred)
  • MBA or similar certification (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and objectively solve problems. 
  • Ability to present analysis and recommendations to senior level management in a clear & concise format.
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple tasks & meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to be self-directed, work independently without much supervision and as an effective team leader.
  • Demonstrated project management skills exercising sound judgment while displaying initiative and innovation on the job.
  • Excellent follow through and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced PC experience working with Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with  SAP, and/or equivalent ERP systems. (Preferred)
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals.

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
