This job contributes to REI’s success by developing and implementing marketing planning strategies, coordinating marketing activities and processes, and measuring and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing efforts. The DVP, Marketing Operations leads governance, process, and playbooks, including resource allocation (capacity/people), budget management, timelines, and reporting/analysis.
This leader will be responsible for modernizing marketing capabilities including planning and forecasting for MKTG spend, identifying and implementing technology and tools to improve overall effectiveness of investments and resources. This DVP will oversee teams including Marketing Planning and Analytics, Project Management, Marketing Technology and Marketing Operations program management. Collaborates with, and influences digital, retail, marketing, merchandising, finance, and customer insights to align on strategies, goal setting and reporting. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

Your Planning & Navigating Requirements
· Leads robust analysis of marketing performance and drives monthly and quarterly marketing business reviews to achieve enterprise goals.
· Managing and analyzing data and metrics to measure the performance of marketing efforts and using this data to optimize campaigns and strategies.
· Developing and refreshing robust playbook(s) for the Marketing Go-To-Market (GTM) processes.
· Leading the GTM orchestration, governance, and process to execute the GTM process with excellence.
· Leads annual marketing strategic planning process - with key spend allocation recommendations to support achievement of customer and member goals.
· Leads marketing budgets and resources, including planning and forecasting for marketing spend.
· Leads implementation of Marketing technology and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing operations, in partnership with MKTG leaders/IT/Digital partners.
· Coordinating marketing activities and processes across various teams and departments within the organization, such as Marketing Integration, Brand Strategy & Creative, Marketing Channels, Project Management, Creative Services
· Managing marketing budget planning and resources management
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as IT and finance, to ensure that marketing operations align with the overall goals and processes of the organization.
· Leads key marketing vendor partnership relationships, in partnership with MKTG Channels. Conducts annual performance reviews and leads relationship management to optimize support for REI.
· Co-leads forecasting process working closely with Finance.
The Professional Qualifications and Experience required by the future DVP, Marketing Operations are imperative to the success of the candidate and the long-term success of the co-op.
· 12+ years of progressively responsible Marketing Operations leadership. Effective team leadership of multiple marketing functions and teams
· Expert knowledge of marketing competencies including Marketing analytics, channel marketing, project management, annual planning, process improvement, Martech capabilities
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
· Experience in a multi-channel retail company with revenue of $2B+
· Innovative and strategic thinking related to marketing capabilities, change management.
· Experience giving direction to and managing vendor partner relationships.
· Ability to clearly articulate a compelling vision and strategy.
· Strong analytical skills with experience developing financial plans, expense budgets and business cases.
· Understanding of the REI brand and the outdoor specialty retail business.

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.
1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:
(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.
(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.
(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.
(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.
(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.
(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.
(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.
(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.
2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
