This job contributes to REI’s success by supporting national operations for Co-op Experiences. This role will work closely with field teams, Operations Program Supervisors, and other Coordinators to plan, implement and manage operational programs. The role will specialize in workforce operations, systems operations, and internal communications. 

Our teams are at their best when the tools that they use to support critical business functions provide structure and support, not distraction and frustration. As a coordinator on the Workforce Operations team, you will support nation-wide field teams in hiring, staffing, internal communications, employee access, finance, information management, and payroll by building, implementing, and managing the systems that REI relies on for these critical functions.   

Bring your passion and expertise

  • 2+ yrs.outdoor education and/or adventure travel program operations
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience communicating, planning and rolling out content in a virtual work environment
  • Experience working with a diverse range of business partners
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently well as in-person or remotely with managers and peers
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships within the industry
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Suite: Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Must have the ability to work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment and display initiative and innovation on the job 
  • Experience with planning, programming and budgeting
  • Works well under pressure within a dynamic work environment, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
  • Open-minded in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
