REI’s digital team (web & mobile) needs an entrepreneurial Project Manager, who can wear many hats and work in an agile, highly-collaborative environment. We are looking for people who want to join a team whose goal it is to empower our customers to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. If this co-op mission interests you, then we’d like to talk to you about a role on the REI IT team.
The Role: We have experience and gear that our customers love. We are looking for people who can help us solve hard problems in on-line payments and checkout areas, innovate across many dimensions, and simplify our customers search for outdoor gear and experiences. Prior business analyst or PM experience with consumer payments and checkout or cart management is highly desirable.
This job contributes to REI’s success by planning, developing, managing and executing small, medium or large, moderately complex information technology projects, using mostly agile (scrum) and sometimes lean methodologies (including rapid prototyping and building MVPs to test and learn). The PM also needs to act in the capacity of a Scrum Master for the team working closely with the Product Owner. Prefer candidates with some business analyst background (or a Software Development background in the absence of BA experience). Projects have both a business and a technology focus. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.
At REI we offer an enviable work environment that has been recognized on the "100 Best Companies to Work For" list since the award's inception – 20 years in a row! Sure, we work hard, but it’s balanced with time off to play—a strategy that works for us as we continue to grow and thrive. Want to enjoy a workplace where you can be yourself, be heard and be respected while having a job that challenges you? This is the place.
With more than 140 retail locations (and growing), REI offers unique competitive benefits to its more than 12,000 employees, including healthcare, gear and apparel discounts, free equipment rentals and challenge grants to help employees reach personal outdoor goals, generous retirement plan contributions, public transit subsidy, adoptions assistance, paid sabbaticals, and more.
