This job contributes to REI’s success by managing a team of business analysts that use business process, data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest area and methods of improving sales and operations. Responsibilities include implementing and overseeing the analytical approaches and methodologies, and controlling and developing internal/external information sources for business analysis. Through this information, the Business Analysis Manager will be able develop business cases as well as present insight and recommendations to management for decision making and strategic planning.   • Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
  • Supports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote REI key messages
  • Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results
  • Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements
  • Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions
  • Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews
  • Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve department, company and customer results
  • Establishes and maintains visibility within the department as well as with cross divisional partners
  • Monitors key KPIs, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action 
  • Develops deep subject matter expertise in the business impacts and opportunities associated with returns, trade-in programs, and the sales of used gear
  • Supports leadership in developing key KPIs and operational measures for new lines of business
  • Develops datasets to support analysis on new lines of business
  • Accountable for assessment and prioritization for all analytical requests to include defining guardrails, defining reporting standards and creations/oversight of the process
  • Analyze and recommend business needs to ultimately support the customer, based on analysis of the completed insights
  • Provides analytical insight and guidance to commercial leaders on key business initiatives
  • Provides leadership and direction for analysts to execute in support of the circular commercial strategy
  • Provides thought leadership to cross divisional partners when analysis of circular commerce is required
  • Create – and/or lead team on creation – and report on “what if” models to help with key strategic decisions (e.g. return policy impacts, process improvement benefits, used gear channel sales optimization)
  • Proven experience using data to deliver insights, presenting complex information in simple, easy to understand format
  • Liaise with cross functional divisions and internal departments to drive process improvements
  • Implements process improvements to improve new line of business data quality and process automation
  • Leads change management for responsible areas

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
