This role will help tackle big, hard questions spanning the breadth of marketing programs and customer channels. Central to the Marketing Channel Analytics Team, the Senior Marketing Analyst leads projects that provide insights and recommendations across the entire Co-op; answering key business questions, informing strategy, and driving profitable growth.

  • Partners closely with leaders within Marketing and in the Co-op to understand analytics and testing needs.
  • Leads technical solution development for multiple classes of business problems
  • Works with data science resources in the BI and Customer Insights teams as they relate to Marketing projects
  • Provides actionable recommendations to identify, drive, and influence key business strategies and plans; affecting new and existing marketing channel investments and optimizations.
  • Contributes to an ongoing stream of analysis and hypothesis based ideas for testing. Works with cross divisional partners to develop a programmatic testing approach.
  • Leads the development of new analytics, optimization and testing approaches and makes recommendations for new or enhanced technical tools.
  • Uses a broad range of existing data to identify and evaluate opportunities for building customer understanding, targeting, and site optimization.
  • Learns news skills quickly and independently; becomes subject matter expert of data outside of the teams’ normal realm of data.  
  • Stays current on emerging market trends and methods of analysis and manages the development of new analytics practices.
  • Works with cross-functional partners to develop enterprise applicable insights
  • Drive data quality efforts in partnership with IT/BI, Data Science, and cross-divisional stakeholder groups
  • Advocates for user adoption of analytics and data-driven testing both within and outside of Marketing.
  • Achieves objectives according to pre-defined goals for long-range, complex projects.
Bring your passion and expertise
  • Expert with data analysis software, data query, and data visualization/ communication
  • 5+ years of related experience in the disciplines of marketing analytics, data science, finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience of extraction and manipulation (e.g. SQL) of both structured and unstructured data
  • 5+ years of experience using statistical and econometric analysis techniques
  • 5+ years designing/executing/analyzing robust tests (a/b, multivariate, stratified sampling etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience using advanced analytics/data science techniques and code languages (data modeling, Python, R, ect.)
  • 5+ years with visualization programs (Tableau preferred)   
  • 5+ years of experience with web measurement platforms and raw clickstream data (Adobe Analytics preferred)
  • Familiarity with media mix modeling (MMM); analysis and application
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, theories and best practices within analytics, general business practices and procedures.
  • BA/BS Degree in a quantitative field, business or marketing-related major required, MBA/MS in Analytics preferred
  • Must be able to prioritize which efforts will generate the most return, and to direct the organization accordingly.
  • Must be able to work toward collective goals while still respecting the contributions of the individual.
  • Builds capacity of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and supervision efforts.
  • Makes effective organization and people decisions in a manner consistent with REI's values and ethics.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, REI provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The pay for this role is: $65,000 to $127,500 per year

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
