This job contributes to REI’s success by serving as a Supervisor, Operations in one of our operation departments. Provides expectations to Operation Lead and Department Employees on a daily basis, is responsible for training, scheduling, and motivating employees to perform assigned tasks.  Responsible for daily operations to ensure that the work is completed accurately, safely, and timely.  Observes employees and provides continual performance feedback; which includes development, career advice, and corrective action.

This position will support a Monday-Friday shift, 8am-5pm.

  • Provides training, coaching, motivating, and scheduling work hours; communicates frequent and consistent feedback for employee development and evaluations, and plans for future staffing and training needs.
  • Challenges and inspires employees; promotes confidence in leadership, morale and teamwork to achieve business results.
  • Communicates company policies and supports implementation of procedures, methods and practices.
  • Maintains departmental standard operation procedures.
  • Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
  • Serves as an example to other employees by consistently demonstrating exemplary work habits, which contribute to teamwork, safety, productivity, and efficiency; maintains own current functional knowledge and skills to assist staff with daily workload as needed.
  • Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
  • Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action.
  • Supervises assigned department to ensure work meets volume/quality standards and effective execution of Company goals.
  • Provides input to the annual department business plan, department budget, and staffing requirements.

Bring your passion and expertise

  • 3+ years experience in people leadership – hiring, training, developing, inspiring, motivating and coaching
  • 3+ years experience in Distribution or relevant experience; which includes distribution training or a logistics degree from an accredited college
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety in the workplace and the ability to maintain a safety-first culture
  • Ability to lead alongside other leaders in a collaborative and cohesive work environment
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving operations results

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
