REI has an inspiring story to tell. Are you the right person to help us tell it? We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager with a rich background building inspiring digital experiences to take REI.com to a new level.

As the Lead Product Manager for REI’s landing pages, including REI.com, your mission is to deliver rich digital experiences that inspire millions of visitors to join our member community. You will partner closely with digital marketing and other stakeholders to prioritize and execute on our most important co-op initiatives. You will lead an agile product team and manage 1-2 other PMs, guiding their efforts to use design, photography, motion and storytelling to transform REI.com. The right candidate will not be afraid to challenge the status quo, is a tireless advocate for our customers and knows how to tell an inspiring story through a digital medium. 


Key responsibilities include:
  • Partner with marketing and merchandising to identify, prioritize and deeply understand our most important stories to tell
  • Partner with research, design and engineering to develop landing pages that inspire our customers to explore our products and services
  • Develop objectives and key results to measure progress in engaging our members
  • Foster a test and learn approach across your team to develop lightweight solutions that can evolve as we better understand what our members want
  • Unlock your team’s individual superpowers to contribute to a thriving culture of product led discovery)
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs, including the opportunity backlog; a prioritized list of problems that we can solve for our customers in order to provide value
  • Create buy-in for the product vision with key business and technical partners 
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impede the team’s ability to meet goals

Bring your passion and expertise

  • 8+ years of product management experience on consumer digital products
  • 2 years of people management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong product vision and create organizational alignment to solve customer problems
  • Strong communication skills with a variety of stakeholders from business partners to engineers and designers
  • Ability to inspire empowered teams around a vision, and support them in delivering fantastic results
  • Exceptional ability to use data to prioritize competing needs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 
  • Demonstrated experience working with a world class marketing team a plus
  • Agile/SCRUM team experience preferred
  • Experience developing products for a mobile customer preferred
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and building effective cross-functional partnerships with CX, Design and Development teams to successfully deliver delightful customer experiences

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
