This PC Specialist 2 position contributes to REI’s success by providing for the development, implementation, and execution of the company’s global supply chain strategy. The PC Specialist 2 will work collaboratively within the DC team to manage tactical business processes, analytical data, develop ad-hoc reports, and KPI’s. The PC Specialist 2 will work on individual projects of a building wide scope, or as a team member in support of the efforts within the Production Control department. Emphasis will be placed on the individual engaging in computer-based tools for data collection and analysis, managing tactical business processes, preparing reports, and delivering presentations of work content. The accurate work product and effective communication of the PC Specialist 2 is essential within the DC to ensure business objectives are met. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

  • Compiles and analyzes data and business metrics to provide necessary information used to influence day to day operation and long-term forecasting including requested monthly or bi-weekly
  • Develops and/or refines building level data collection and analysis tools to assist in measuring and managing processes or business metrics utilizing tools like Excel and Tableau.
  • Maintains the accuracy of the analysis tools.
  • Provides forecasting information and building plan for upcoming events on a regularly (building defined) cadence.
  • Facilitates building Event Planning and Daily Wave Management
  • Delivers verbal and written reports of building plans, projects or managed business processes using tools such as MS PowerPoint and MS Word to document and present work content.
  • Provides training on basic wave management systems and philosophy to aid operators in decision making, including the training and development of PC Specialist 1.
  • Other duties where assigned including assisting in production roles.

Bring your passion and expertise

  • A college degree or equivalent in work experience is required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas of discipline: transportation Management; Trade & Safety Compliance; Forecast and Replenishment Methodologies; Manufacture or Brand Management Planning; Distribution / Material Handling; Retail Store Product Logistics, Supply Chain Systems, Process Administration, Data Analytics or Data Science.
  • Clear understanding of the concepts of continuous improvement such as Kaizen methods
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft (MS) Excel
  • Intermediate experience with MS Access, and MS PowerPoint,
  • Introductory knowledge / experience with SQL; Visual Basic; SAP; Manhattan Associates WM; AS400 i-series, Tableau, Labor Management and Snowflake.

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
