As a Project Manager on the Customer Brand Shared Services team your functional job is to act as a team leader and an inspiration to our amazing creative and operations teams that work on all types of creative projects across Marketing channels, Marketing programs as well as other programs from the REI enterprise. This role requires top-notch communication, attention to detail, creativity and an ongoing passion for working with creative and creative operations teams.


This position contributes to REI’s success by employing strategic project leadership and project management principles to produce a portfolio of world class omni-channel marketing projects. This position operates with a level of autonomy and influence to successfully execute projects for business initiatives, marketing campaigns, and other time sensitive business communications that are directed by the REI Enterprise and Annual Marketing Strategy. Utilizing best in class project management techniques to manage ongoing business process improvement, standardize workflow, drive role clarity, and improve resource efficiency. Manage timelines and communications needed to coordinate, build, and launch marketing and business projects on-time, on-brand, and in-budget.

Employs strong business acumen, excellent oral and written communication, and critical thinking skills to proactively problem-solve. Demonstrates a proven ability to mitigate business risk and to lead and influence multiple stakeholder groups to a common goal.  



Bring your passion and expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in addition to 3+ years demonstrated experience as a Project/Client Manager working within a Mktg/Creative department or agency.
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience managing multiple small to large omni-channel marketing projects, working with creative teams (including design, copy, studio/photo, production, print production)
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills and proven ability to straddle big picture strategy and downstream tactics
  • Accountable for management of multiple concurrent business critical projects that range from simple to more complex in scope and scale. Manages internal and cross-divisional teams to execute projects against annual business initiatives and campaigns. 
  • Accountable for omni-channel marketing project deliverables and maintaining current industry knowledge and best practices across a variety of digital and social platforms including website, mobile, email, digital advertising, print, and social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. 
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of high quality, relevant, customer experiences that meet stated business objectives within approved scope and budget parameters.
  • Key project liaison between internal, cross-divisional, and third-party partners in the management of project timelines, dependencies, issue resolution, and asset delivery. 
  • Ability to build and foster strong relationships within and outside of the organization from individual contributors to senior leadership as well as, develop a broad set of relationships and collaborate across creative, merchandising, marketing, technical teams to drive the vision for the assigned business areas.
  • Accountable for accurate allocation of creative resources within a project schedule to drive team member focus and efficiency. Proactively elevates resource concerns and advocates on the team’s behalf to alleviate capacity issues. 
  • Accountable for motivating and coordinating cross department/divisional project teams to deliver first in class omni-channel marketing from project scoping, planning to project delivery. 
  • Accountable for applying process innovation to project management approach and when necessary employing non-traditional methods and strong problem-solving skills to move work forward.
  • Accountable for making decisions, often under pressure, with both internal and external partners that influence outcomes within key marketing deliverables. 
  • Support value-based decision-making. Understand the value and cost of the work we do and use this to drive decisions.
  • Leverages “Workfront” work management tool daily to centrally house project requirements, schedules, documentation, and resource time tracking. May lead and/or provide support relative to tool releases.
  • Accountable for the facilitation and management of bi-annual project planning to inform project intake, resource capacity and overall adherence to annual marketing plan across omni-channel partners.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, REI provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The pay for this role is: $47,500 to $97,500 per year

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753
LICENSURE AND EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONS PREVIOUSLY CONVICTED OF ONE OR MORE CRIMINAL OFFENSES

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
