Our Seasonal Warehouse Associates are a vital part of the REI Team and are the most common entry point into our Distribution Center Team. As a Seasonal Warehouse Associate you will play a critical role at the Co-op by helping our product reach our customers doors during one of our busiest times of the year! This position supports all areas of the Distribution Center including, but not limited to, the following areas: merchandise fulfillment and handling (picking and putting away), receiving, price marking, splitting, shipping, packaging specialized customer orders, and handling cardboard and waste for team efficiency. Seasonal employment at the REI Goodyear Distribution Center is expected to last for a two-month period with the possibility for extension.

Training Provided, No Experience Required.

We are hiring part-time associates for the below shifts:

  • 4th Shift ($18.20/hr plus additional 10% shift differential pay offered): Saturday and Sunday with hours available between 4:00AM-2:30PM
  • 5th Shift ($18.20/hr plus additional 15% shift differential pay offered): Saturday and Sunday with hours available between 2:00PM-12:30AM
Bring your passion and expertise
  • Prior warehouse or relevant experience (preferred, but NOT required)
  • Familiarity working with computer systems and/or RF equipment (preferred)
  • Prior experience (preferred) using power equipment to safely process freight throughout the facility (current and valid drivers license required) 
  • Can comprehend and apply training and standard operations procedures
  • Ability to work safely, minding personal and team safety in daily operations
  • Executes effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
  • The ability to frequently lift and shift boxes weighing an average of 20 to 30 pounds with a maximum of 65 pounds throughout a full shift of work
  • Able to work in a standing or walking environment for 8-10 hour shifts
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include extra hours
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across REI for the achievement of business goals
  • Flexible in one's viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI
  • Ability to meet or exceed attendance requirements, providing reliable and predictable attendance

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
