The Omni-Products and Platform Product Design team is looking for a Sr. Product Designer. In this role, you will lead a wide range of design activities across the lifecycle of our digital experience management product, and you will create experiences that are valuable for people, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. 

Often working with non-designers, you are educating and advocating for the practice of human-centered design, customer centricity, and product led strategies. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills in this role. 

You will also have a voice in defining where your team will have the most impact. We approached design holistically, strategically, and systematically, and we need an integrator who keeps information flowing up, down, and across the organization. 

Role Description 

The Digital Experience Management and Content Platform team is looking for a Senior Product Designer to streamline digital merchandising and site marketing workflows focused on creating customer experiences that integrate product and content data. 

In this role, you will drive a wide range of design activities across the Product, Content, and Findability Platform team, enabling the orchestration and testing of personalized content and data across microsites and content experiences, reduce the engineering effort required to create new experiences. This role will also enable the dynamic, relevant distribution of reusable content across Digital channels and empower distributed authors with content creation and management capabilities. 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience tackling ambiguous customer problems, leading, and implementing impactful experiences. Additionally, you will possess an exceptional ability to collaborate across teams, present a vision, define outcomes, and be hands-on in implementing the work. You will be a leader in educating and advocating for the practice of human-centered design, customer centricity, and product ways of working. Candidates must be proactive, responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in a fast-paced, transforming, collaborative environment without supervision. 


• Lead the User Experience design efforts for one or more critical products or strategic projects on digital platforms 
• Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process by developing wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes. 
• Maintain and contribute to REI's brand and design systems 
• Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements and present concepts, proposals, and updates to executive stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions and build concise user-centric visions and journeys. 
• Apply a data-driven approach to define experience which integrates user feedback and business requirements. 
• Foster REI’s culture, values and principles while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence.
Bring your passion and expertise
Minimum Qualifications 

• 6+ years’ experience as a User Experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, Service designer or similar. 
• Proficient at building and shipping features/products that encompass an end-to-end experience across a variety of platforms. 
• Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking. 
• Deep understanding of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CX, etc. 
• Adept at utilizing design systems, best practices, accessibility guidelines, and human-centered design methodologies. 
• Experience working collaboratively with User Experience, product managers and engineers. 
• Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences. 
• Strong organization, attention to details and time-management skills. 
• A portfolio demonstrating excellent User Experience design skills for solving complex problems with clear results. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction or similar area, or equivalent practical experience. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations when designing platforms. 
• ALT: Intermediate experience using modern web development technologies including HTML, CSS, ES6, JavaScript, AJAX, DOM scripting, JS frameworks 
• Ability to plan and conduct user research and data to build a strategic point of view. 
• Experience in creating strategy and designing products, with a record of accomplishment of key contributions to innovative and successful products or platforms.

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
