The Affiliate Marketing Specialist contributes to REI’s success by supporting the affiliate online marketing program which delivers on REI’s brand promise with guidance from the Marketing Manager and in partnership with the Marketing Program Managers.  This encompasses program management support from campaign planning and execution including, tactical planning, promotional calendar management, creative development, and performance analysis for the affiliate marketing program.  This program drives multi-channel traffic, conversion and sales throughout the year, customer acquisition and retention, and maintain the connection between REI and its members and customers.  Responsibilities include coordination between external and internal business partners and the authoring of program and project plans.  The Affiliate Marketing Specialist works cross-divisionally to develop and implement these programs within REI’s sales channels (retail and digital).

The Affiliate Marketing Specialist role will provide critical tactical support for the Performance Marketing teams. Duties will include, but not limited to: 
  • Partner with the Affiliate Manager to execute and manage all aspects of affiliate campaigns
  • Assist with budgeting and reporting, including weekly pacing and monthly forecasts as needed
  • Own and manage the affiliate promotional calendar by collecting deals, promotions, and assets from various internal teams and stakeholders
  • Develop, test, and upload creative and text links into affiliate network
  • Create weekly newsletters to ensure timely and accurate delivery of offers and marketing priorities to all partners
  • Coordinate affiliate prospecting, onboarding and optimization efforts
  • Help manage relationships with existing affiliate partners and identify additional optimization efforts to drive incremental performance
  • Review and manage program applications, trademark infringements, affiliate disclosure violations, and order inquiries
  • Partner with loss prevention team to investigate fraudulent transactions, freight forwarding, and resellers
  • Effectively prioritize efforts to focus on delivering on the most important projects first
  • Consistently looks for ways to improve current processes or introduce new approaches that will contribute to REI’s success 

Bring your passion and expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in affiliate marketing account management
  • Experience with AvantLink, Brand Verity, GroupHigh,  Media Rails or other affiliate software is a plus
  • Excellent project management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Working experience with Excel functions around large data sets
  • Bachelor Degree in Business Marketing or relevant field preferred 
  • Must demonstrate high emotional IQ and understand how to build consensus
  • Exhibit an enthusiastic and collaborative approach to acquisition
  • Demonstrated understanding of online marketing and applying insights to daily work 
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and execute marketing programs
  • Experience and demonstrated ability blending analytical and creative thinking 
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-started qualities and to research program issues and formulate tangible solutions 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results 
  • Successfully fulfill REI’s strategy by creating clear deliverables and recommendations 
  • Mastered understanding of reported metrics and what they mean 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines 
  • Must exemplify REI's values and possess a passion for the outdoors

ARTICLE 23-A, Section 753

§753. Factors to be considered concerning a previous criminal conviction; presumption.

1. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall consider the following factors:

(a) The public policy of this state, as expressed in this act, to encourage the licensure and employment of persons previously convicted of one or more criminal offenses.

(b) The specific duties and responsibilities necessarily related to the license or employment sought or held by the person.

(c) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense or offenses for which the person was previously convicted will have on his fitness or ability to perform one or more such duties or responsibilities.

(d) The time which has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(e) The age of the person at the time of occurrence of the criminal offense or offenses.

(f) The seriousness of the offense or offenses.

(g) Any information produced by the person, or produced on his behalf, in regard to his rehabilitation and good conduct.

(h) The legitimate interest of the public agency or private employer in protecting property, and the safety and welfare of specific individuals or the general public.

2. In making a determination pursuant to section seven hundred fifty-two of this chapter, the public agency or private employer shall also give consideration to a certificate of relief from disabilities or a certificate of good conduct issued to the applicant, which certificate shall create a presumption of rehabilitation in regard to the offense or offenses specified therein.
